It may sound unusual but spiritual healing is actually a natural, non-invasive, holistic approach to health that helps restore clarity and balance in the mind, body and spirit. It’s also an effective way of reducing anxiety, stress and pain and for activating the body’s innate healing potential. A gentle approach to healing… This ancient therapy has been used throughout history, having its roots in India, China, Egypt and Greece. It’s a gentle approach that involves the transfer of natural energy through the therapist to the client, usually a short distance from the client’s body, helping them to relax deeply and re-energise their own natural healing resources. Research in the UK shows that spiritual healing helps to relieve physical and emotional pain and fully complements other treatments that people may be undergoing. It’s particularly helpful for initiating improvements in clients’ attitudes, clarity of thought and quality of life. Discover spiritus Spiritual healing is not associated with any particular religion and the word “spiritual” relates to spiritus, the life force energy and breath that’s within us all. If you face a number of difficulties spiritual healing can be combined with counselling to help clarify ways of improving your health and quality of life. Our spiritual healer at Inner Health Solutions, Deborah Sheehy, completed a two-year comprehensive programme of training, practice and development with the National Federation of Spiritual Healers UK (NFSH) before being eligible as a full healer member with them in 1993. She works in accordance with their code of ethics & conduct. Currently there are only a handful of other spiritual healers in Australia who are qualified members of the NFSH.
